NUT Report shows urgency needed in improving funding for poorest pupils - Randerson
Commenting on the release of a report by the National Union of Teachers showing massive variations in pupil funding across Wales, Welsh Lib Dem Shadow Education Minister, Jenny Randerson AM said:
"I welcome John Atkins' report for the NUT. This report shows that there are very real problems due to the variation of funding across Wales. We need to address this problem from the bottom up, by ensuring a guaranteed level of funding for the poorest pupils wherever they attend school. Only then can we begin to break the cycle of poverty and under achievement."
