After, yesterday's Welsh Assembly Government, Welsh Lib Dem Shadow Education Minister, Jenny Randerson has delivered a stark warning that the Welsh Education system is entering a dark period, facing devastating cuts from Government's at both ends of the M4.
Yesterday's budget saw a below inflation rise in the Education portfolio, and devastating 'efficiency' cuts of 5% for Further and Higher Education.
Jenny Randerson AM said: "We seem to be entering a dark period for our children and their education. The Labour-Plaid Government is ripping millions out of our schools, colleges and Universities. At the other end of the M4, the Tories are plotting to hit education funding for Wales disproportionally hard.
"It is very sad. Labour and Plaid are following the Tory path of crumbling classrooms, out of date books and over-stretched teachers and lecturers."
