Jenny and Jenny want better health services across Cardiff Central

Speaking after attending a meeting last night to discuss the decision of the Cardiff and Vale Local Health Board to stop the funding for a dedicated support worker for early onset dementia sufferers at Oldwell Court, Jenny Willott MP and Jenny Randerson AM have called on health chiefs to find the funds to keep the service open.

Jenny Randerson said: "Jenny and I found it very upsetting to meet with the patients and their families of this vital service, who are deeply worried about losing this life-line service.

"We hope that enough pressure will be put on the Local Health Board to change this fundamentally unfair situation."

Jenny Willott added:

"It seems completely backwards that when there is money un-allocated in the NHS budget, vital services like this one in Cardiff Central are being slashed.

"This is a frontline cut. I will do all I can to help patients and there families to continue to receive the great support that this service offers."
